Can this really help my drums knock harder?
Can this really help my drums knock harder?
Yes—that's exactly why MPC DRUMS exists. Every sound has already been layered, shaped, and refined using a vintage drum machine, additional analog hardware, and years of drum design experience. Instead of spending hours chasing punch with plugins, you can start with drums that already have the weight, character, and impact producers are looking for.
What makes MPC DRUMS different from other drum kits?
What makes MPC DRUMS different from other drum kits?
Most drum kits are simply collections of sounds. MPC DRUMS was designed as a complete analog solution—from vinyl-sourced drums and classic MPC processing to cohesive loop libraries that work together. The goal isn't just more sounds—it's better sounding beats with less effort.
Are "analog drums" a hoax? What's the difference?
Are "analog drums" a hoax? What's the difference?
Every workstation, whether it be "digital or analog," processes audio in its own way - and for the most part, these differences are subtle. But this character becomes a lot more enhanced when the workstation is pushed to its limit (for example, driving a low pass filter on a vintage synthesizer). MPC DRUMS was designed with this in mind - drums were heavily layered, filters were distorted to their maximum, and effects were carefully selected inside the drum machine to take advantage of the MPC1000's unique qualities. This process was found to create drums with an elevated bass response, which is why the term "analog knock" is used.

What equipment was used to create MPC DRUMS?
What equipment was used to create MPC DRUMS?
Every sound in MPC DRUMS was crafted using a combination of vintage hardware, analog equipment, and modern production techniques. The library was built around an Akai MPC1000, with drums sourced from vinyl using a Technics SL-1200 turntable, Shure M44-7 cartridge, and Vestax PMC-05 mixer. The sounds were then carefully refined with additional analog hardware and software processing to maximize punch, weight, and character while preserving the musical feel that makes them unique.
What's the difference between the Clean and Dirty versions?
What's the difference between the Clean and Dirty versions?
The Clean drums come directly from the MPC with minimal processing, giving you more flexibility to shape your own sound. The Dirty versions are further processed for extra punch, weight, and character, making them ready to drop into a mix immediately.
